Interesting posts WRT the Miami - FI Who fight. Remember the good ol days when Miami used to brawl with Top 25 teams...oh how the mighty have fallen....
Canes, Spare me the "didn't start it" crap. Miami has started many a brawl in those 25 yrs you speak so fondly of. A few yrs ago, Clemson-South Carolina brawled. Despite both being bowl eligible, both immediately withdrew their consideration for invites after the brawl. Not the league, not the conference, the school presidents. That's leadership. Not the "explain it away" mentality of the Lewinsky era..." I did not see that video....the one with the fight between my school and FIU..." What leadership school did Donna Shalalalalalalala graduate from anyway?
Having said that, NEVER thought I live to see the day when DUKE would smack The U in the mouth as they did....esp in the 4th quarter....and for Larry Coker to comment about the character of his team....IT's DUKE...Losers of 15 STRAIGHT...it's the lack of character of your team that caused you to be 13 players short....even so, Miami's 9th string waterboys should whip DUKE...did I mention they lost 15 STRAIGHT??
let me first say about the explain it away clinton answer it is well known donna is a flaming liberal lefty, i can't do anything about that. as for the lack of leadership of her answer i don't necessarily think that is the case. I appreciate what south carolina and clemson did a few years ago but i don't think that applies to miami for right now. Call me a homer or whatever your going to say but THEY DIDN'T START THE FIGHT THEY FINISHED IT. that sort of thing is going to happen from time to time regardless of the school. As for the aftermath and the punishments laid out i thought that they were just with but one exception i would've suspended brandon merriweather for the rest of the year (apologies if i spelled his name wrong i'm extrememly hung over right now). I also think that paul dee should've resigned to save himself the embarassment of being fired at the end of the season. As for coker he shouldn't have walked away from the program in mid season. Personally i think he'll resign at the end of the year not get fired. As for duke i don't give a sh** if my boys win by 40 or win by 5 against any opponent a win is a win. Now obviously they should have beat them by 50 but after what happened last week and the media firestorm it started do you really think that all of the players heads were in the game. not at all bring on ga tech we're ready for you. acc champions this year rightfully as we should be
Miami plays was just defending themselves they did nothing wrong....cept let those FIU thugs get away!!! shoulda made em HURT and NOT EVAH come back to the OB!!
