Unless by freak luck Miami wins every game from here on out, wins the ACC, and makes a BCS bid, I'm pretty sure you can say Coker is screwed.  Miami's athletic director outta have Butch Davis' number on speed dial at this point. Yeah wow he's won alot of games that he should have won, with alot of Butch Davis's players.  Lee Corso said it best: lousy coaching is to blame for this game. How unprepared did the canes look?

Can't wait for the return of Butch Davis.

Larry I like to snort coker isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Did you see warren sapp's comments after the game i thought he was going to kill every player on the team. Butch Davis was great when he was here but he ran for the nfl instead of continuing to coach the dynasty he had built. They wouldn't ever take him back after that come on man get real

Not real knowledgable on Canes football history but Dennis Erikson cant stay at Idaho for long.  He left but maybe on decent terms.  Maybe he rides it out for two years while the 49ers are still paying him $2.5 mil.  I think Coker is a good coach but I can't imagine he lasts much longer. Gotta be gone after 2007 if no conference championship in the next two years.

For what its worth from Pat Forde of ESPN.com

Florida State-Miami (27). The Seminoles had four defensive players picked in the first round of the 2006 NFL draft, yet Mickey Andrews' D still suffocated the Hurricanes, shutting them out in the second half. Of course, it helps when the opposing team's halftime adjustments consist of rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Miami looked like a poorly coached team, and never more so than its last two gaffe-ridden possessions. The Dash has seen more poise in a kindergarten fire drill than the Canes showed in the final minutes. Not good, Larry Coker. Not good.

I think Coke will stay. Miami had too much of a reputation (deserved) for being a rogue program under several coaches and it was starting to hurt the program. Miami had to bring in a nicey-nice coach and got Coke. He's proved capable and I really doubt they can him unless there was someone really good available.
