We here at CFTalk get emails from readers. Some are complimentary, some are obscene (we like those kind) and some are just weird. For example, we recently received this gem concerning our "looking for a cookie" pic that featured ND Coach Charlie Weis:
I read your site for the first time yesterday, is the best you can do is make a fat joke on Charlie Weis? Weis had to have stomach stapling surgery to lose weight because he knew that he could not get a head coaching job being so overweight. That surgery nearly killed him. Last year Weis demonstrated what a good coach he is. Florio's PFT if funny and witty, your Weis photo just cruel and stupid.

Making Fat Jokes on Charlie Weis? Give me a ****ing break. Not even close to being clever. The fact that you can not even take one ounce of criticism demonstrates you are no better than the turds on the Bengals.
The PFT photo archive is filled with great stuff. Making Fat Jokes, "Where's the Cookie" is so lame. Did you sit back and say "Gee that will be really funny, let's pick on the guy who nearly died so he could get a job that noone would offer him because of his weight problems?" What's next Pat Tillman target practice Jokes? How about Derrick Thomas driving school?

Given the fact the the Weis photo is no longer on CFT, maybe Joe C. told his TurdBoy who was covering him to pull it. Additionally, TurdBoy speaks for all readers when he says "Shut The **** Up". Given CFT is a bad red-headed stepchild of PFT and is begging for advertisers, knocking Notre Dame Head Coach Charlie Weis might not be the smartest thing CFT could do.
For those of you unfamiliar with Weis's medical history and why I believe making the cookie fat jokes is sophomoric at best, read this:
"Weis was in a coma for two weeks and received last rites from a priest after he suffered excessive bleeding, septic shock, adult respiratory distress syndrome and ongoing leg problems" Weis went through all of this, just because he KNEW he would not get hired being obese as no team would want a FAT MAN as the face of the Franchise/College Program.
If the CFT readers agree that I should Shut The **** Up, then by all means reply, but I suspect a good number of readers (probably the ND & Pats fans) would consider CFT's shot at Charlie Weis in extremely poor taste (or put another way, STUPID)
What an ass!. I assumed incorrectly you had someone helping you. Pretty pathetic you took an simple e-mail, respond with a **** OFF, post it on your site (hmm because you have no content) Remove the Weis photo (Because, I was right and your South Bend Contacts will dry up like your ball sack) and when given a chance to at least be quasi-professional, respond with **** OFF Again.

I have to agree with commish on this. What kind of human would make this type of remark about a person who has gone through so much in order to be a better coach. Lets leave the sick and twisted humor to the school kids. Grow up man!

The point you are missing, which is evident in your message board responses is you have no talent for writing, which might be a problem for you as you move forward. What makes something funny isn't picking on the obvious (you seem to like fat jokes) it is being clever. The Big Show, Meathead, Coach Kevlar are all funny, Coach "My son killed himself" is not. The same concept applies to Weis. Picking on a medical condition is not a slam dunk laugh out loud joke. Rather it demonstrates a lack of wit. So dismiss me all you want, I actually was offering you some constructive criticim, before you unprofessionally told me to go F*CK myself.

I am a fan of PFT, this site is run by a guy who can't write and is not funny. My original point was why make fun of a persons weight when his weight problem nearly killed him. You see? that kills the joke. Fact of the matter is Charlie Weis lost a lot of weight from the stomach stapling surgery that he needed in order to be presentable for a head coaching gig. So the pictures you are posting are actually a "trimmed down" Weis. So picking on a fat guy who is actually only 50% as fat as he used to be makes no sense. I liked the Homo ND QB photo, that was funny, but that was done by PFT's Taco Bill.
