What a bunch of garbage regarding Coach Beamer in Joe's article. I knew WVU fans were classless, but to run a site that writes 100% lies out of some sort of jealous obsession with VT is sick.

These aren't totally new stories. For several years VT is rumored to be the home of football "thugs" gone wild. True or not the inaction by Frank Beamer with not enforcing zero tolerance on Marcus before the Gator Bowl somewhat confirms the charge of winning at any cost. VT was aware during the Gator Bowl about the stomp yet did nothing. Would you allow your son to act this way? This action also shows that winning is more important that character.
Virginia Tech is a fine schoolthat has unfortunately sold its soul to winning football. Character matter.
you mean character like Bryan Randall, or Darryl Tapp, Or Ben Taylor, or the countless others who have been part of Beamer's football legacy.
All schools have a few bad apples and all coaches give 2nd chances..sometimes they pay off for the better and the kid learns, sometimes they don't. But it's just plain stupid to suggest that Beamer has taken a "win at all costs" approach to football.
Obviously, you are just another WVU fan with an axe to grind.

These aren't "stories at all" - these are rumors! If there was actually some truth to the RUMORS of VT being the home of football thugs, then there would have been some factual substantiation by now. The fact is that the VT football team received the ACC Sportsmanship award for football...an award voted on by the football teams. Wow, what thugs! The only rumors you hear about VT thuggery comes from angry WVU fans (who are in fact, not a rumor, the most degenerate college football fans anywhere) and Hoo fans who have nothing else to talk about after their annual butt-whippings from the Hokies.
