I was quite surprised how Louisville outplayed WV. Granted, they gave up too many yard on the ground, but they owned WV the entire second half- which is supposed to be WV's bread & butter time.
I think if you go back through the threads including before the season started a couple astute college football fans thunk it and stated it. There is no way Rutgers stops the Louisville offense meaning they will have to play behind. It hurts their chances since they like running the ball and not that great passing it.
regardless of any of you who don't think Rutgers can shut down louisville look what they did to pitt, now granted pitts offense isn't as high octane as louisville's is but they were still ranked pretty high in the country when the two ball clubs butted heads. Regardless of that fact i'm still standing behind my rutgers boise state national championship game, I all ready have the keg ordered and the flat screen is getting hd in it today in anticipation of this clash of behemoths

If Rutgers & Boise State meet in the title game, the BCS will be considered the biggest sham in the history of sports.
That's the whole point prophet it is the biggest sham in all of sports, allse it will take is my national championship game to put the final nail in her coffin.

Wouldn't a college football playoff system force the boys to miss too much school. After all they're student athletes. What will they do when their brief football careers are over? That's the real question.
in an 8 team playoff you play the first round of games the couple of days before Christmas. The second round of games on Jan 1 or Jan 2, both games during winter break, and the last game the second week in Janaury like this years national championship game. Therfore, at most two schools will miss a week of school no different than now. Missing class is the biggest bs reason out there.
I'm still a proponent for the old bowl system. I see no reason why we have to have a championship game. Sports is no longer sports- it's just about money.
My post wasn't intended to address kids missing holiday time. that has never been used as an excuse for a playoff system. I have always heard it was about missing class. if its about missing holiday time i have no problem with that. just come out and say it. dont hide behind kids missing class when, as i proved, is not a viable excuse. i have no problems with wanting kids to be around family though i am sure louisville, texas, florida or usc (fans, parents and players) would take missing a week of holiday vacation and family time for a once in a lifetime chane to play in a college palyoff game.
